Difference
From the moment we launched our Moving the Needle strategy in 2008, we have watched the positive changes across the state – in education, economic development and social justice. While more work is still to be done, we can take a moment to reflect upon how these changes have made a difference and the persistent need to move forward.
Looking Back, Moving Forward
Nearly 70 years ago, a curious and fortuitous thing happened when a son of one of the world’s wealthiest families moved to one of the nation’s poorest states. Governor Winthrop Rockefeller could not resist the draw of the Natural State’s beauty. He used his time, talent, and treasure to build a thriving and prosperous Arkansas that benefits all Arkansans.

Growth and progress isn’t always due to success. Decisions don’t always prove right and we sometimes find ourselves off course. But in these times, what we do is learn. We learn it takes hard work, bold determination, and guidance through expertise and data. Most importantly, we learn to trust in friends and partners who also seek to do the right thing.

When we fail, we learn. And let us tell you, we had some major doozies throughout Moving the Needle. We had some real nose-dive, facepalm, whopping failures ... and we can't wait to share our stories with you.
